Panjab University’s legendary coffee house comes to life after 4 years

Panjab University’s iconic coffee house is finally opened again after four years gap. It is located on the top floor of the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) office building at the Student Centre.

The new version of the coffee house was inaugurated by Prof Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor of the university. It was called South Indian Coffee House earlier, and it serves South Indian dishes, Punjabi snacks, and continental food. Most of the dishes are priced below Rs. 100.

This coffee house was opened up in 1975 but was shut down because of financial losses. Now the tender of the eatery is allotted to Defence Catering.
