Farmers Firm on Tractor Rally, Won’t interrupt R-Day Prade

Thousands of farmers protesting at Singhu, Tikri, Ghazipur borders are set to take out the tractor march on 26th January on eve of Republic Day of India. The tractor march will be held on Delhi’s outer ring road.
Farmers have requested officials to let them take out the tractor march and also assured that it would be a peaceful march and they will not interrupt republic day celebration held in the capital of India.

The senior Delhi Police officers met farm leaders at Singhu border on Tuesday to discuss the route and security arrangements ahead of the tractor march. Police sources said they tried to convince farmers leaders to hold their protest on KMP Expressway and not march towards Kisan Ghat or take other routes, but couldn’t reach an agreement.
A member of the Bharatiya Kisan Union said, “Police are insisting us to take the KMP route but farmers said they won’t.” Farmers Leaders are giving assurance to keep the tractor march peaceful and they will not disturb R-day Prade.

The talks between center government and famer leaders have not reached any agreement so far. The 10th round of meeting of farmer leaders and government is to be held today.
